I am pretty new to this whole blogging thing, so there is still much that I must learn about it. Recently, I was wondering why I was not getting any comments even though I get a decent amount of traffic. Well, it appears that I was getting comments, it is just that almost all of them got thrown into the spam folder.
Having looked through the spam folder it is clear that the majority of those comments were indeed spam, so that’s good. However, there were a few legitimate comments that got tossed in there, as well. Now that I know this, I will be sure to keep an eye on my spam folder to ensure that nothing is being censored that shouldn’t be. Sure, it may be true that some of these comments that I approved actually are spam, but they didn’t appear to be at first glance, but I’d rather keep the comments as open as possible than have to screen every comment.
As for those whose comments didn’t make it through, I am sorry. Also, since I know that I am not without error, some legitimate comments may get nixed accidentally if they are in the spam folder. If this ever happens to one of your comments, please feel free to repost or contact me so that the problem can be corrected.
Stay thirsty, my friends.
